In partnership with the Indianapolis Airport Authority, TSA-Indy, and Delta Airlines the Autism Society of Indiana (ASI) is excited to offer a unique experience to individuals of all ages with autism. We know that traveling can be difficult for some children and adults with autism. We also know that preparation is the key to helping make the travel experience easier. Participants with autism and their companion (parents, caregivers, friends, siblings) will experience the steps most people take when coming to the airport.
Additionally, participants will be able to explore the plane and meet the pilot and flight attendants.
Parking is free to all participants.
You do not need to bring luggage, you can bring a small carry-on bag.
Only the individual with autism and one caregiver will be allowed to go past security, wait at the gate area and board the aircraft. Space is limited.
